The news highlights from Mouser this week are:
- New Product – Mouser Now Shipping u-blox MAYA-W4 Tri-Radio Modules for Low-Power, IoT and Mesh Networking Applications
Mouser is now shipping the new MAYA-W4 tri-radio modules from u-blox. The MAYA-W4 modules are cost-efficient wireless connectivity modules supporting dual-band Wi-Fi® 6, Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.4, and 802.15.4, offering reliable and secure connectivity for low-power IoT and mesh networking, medical, consumer, smart homes, and industrial applications. The tri-radio modules solve network congestion issues, boost power efficiency, and deliver the latest wireless technologies for the IoT ecosystem and the next generation of smart, low-energy, mesh network devices. Combining Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE 5.4, and 802.15.4 (for Thread supporting Matter), the MAYA-W4 offers a balanced feature set and optimised data throughput, providing secure connectivity and cost-efficiency without compromising performance. By maintaining the same compact dimensions as its predecessors (10 × 14 × 1.9 mm), and an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, the MAYA-W4 modules simplify migration from previous generations. Mouser also stocks the u-blox EVK-MAYA-W476 Evaluation Kit. The EVK-MAYA-W476 allows an external host processor to access several practical features for testing and evaluating the connectivity options supported in the MAYA-W476 module.

- New Product – Mouser Now Stocking Schneider Electric’s Modicon M17x PLCs, Delivering Flexible and Secure Control for Building Management Systems
Mouser is now stocking the Modicon M17x programmable logic controllers (PLCs) from Schneider Electric. Designed for HVAC, refrigeration, and pumping applications, the M17x controllers interface easily with Building Management Systems, providing flexible scheduling, occupancy sensing, and control. The M17x Logic Controllers are a cost-efficient and scalable solution for HVAC, refrigeration, and pumping systems. Users can install additional modules, such as wall thermostats and communication plug-ins, enabling a high degree of flexibility in a single configuration. The M17x family includes the M171, M172, and M173 logic controllers. The M171 and M173 controllers are optimised for simple and compact machines. Available for flush mounting, the M171 and M173 logic controllers are quick to install and highly versatile. Designed for more connectable and connected HVAC systems, the M172 logic controller includes a wide selection of I/O expansions and remote displays for improved connectivity, scalability, and performance. The M17x controllers provide robust cybersecurity for HVAC devices exposed to other devices and networks by preventing unauthorised access and ensuring data protection. M17x logic controllers are supported by Schneider’s EcoStruxure software, an interoperable, IoT-enabled platform that helps original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) more quickly build smarter, cost-efficient HVAC control systems.

- New Product – Mouser Now Offering AMD Spartan UltraScale+ FPGAs for Edge, IIoT, Automation, Robotics, and Wireless Applications
Mouser is now shipping the new Spartan™ UltraScale+™ Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) from AMD. The FPGAs are ideal for devices and sensors connected at the edge, utilising the AMD UltraScale architecture, optimised for cost-sensitive applications requiring high I/O count, low power, and state-of-the-art security features. With densities ranging from 11 kLC to 218 kLC and up to 572 I/Os, Spartan UltraScale+ FPGAs can handle large amounts of data and feature an integrated memory controller for LPDDR4X/5 supporting up to 4266 Mb/s on a 32-bit interface, saving up to 15 kLC to reduce power and cost. The FPGAs deliver cost and power efficiency, with state-of-the-art security, featuring hard IP for post-quantum cryptography and NIST-approved algorithms. This enables both secure device configuration and user access to dedicated cryptographic resources, including a true random number generator (TRNG), physical unclonable function (PUF), secure hashing, and more. The FPGAs are ideal for industrial automation, networking, robotics, wireless, IIoT, medical, edge, smart city, sensor processing, and control applications.
