- New Product – Mouser Now Shipping Renesas’ DA14533 Bluetooth 5.3 SoC, Reducing Power Consumption in Automotive Applications
Mouser is now stocking the DA14533 Bluetooth® 5.3 System-on-Chip (SoC) from Renesas Electronics. Featuring advanced power management capabilities, the Bluetooth SoC simplifies integration, reduces power consumption, and extends the operational life of small-capacity, battery-powered systems. The DA14533 SoC is automotive-qualified and suitable for applications including tire pressure monitoring (TPMS), keyless entry, onboard diagnostics (OBD), industrial automation, and telematics. This SoC includes a 2.4 GHz transceiver, an Arm® Cortex®-M0+ microcontroller, a wide range of peripherals, and the latest security features. The DA14533 SoC features 64kB RAM, 160kB ROM, and 12kB of one-time programmable (OTP) memory. An integrated low IQ buck converter accurately adjusts the output voltage according to system requirements and remains active in sleep buck mode. The DA14533 SoC reduces the engineering bill of materials (eBOM) and simplifies development, requiring just six external components and featuring a single external oscillator (XTAL) for active and sleep modes. The DA14533 is one of the smallest automotive Bluetooth SoCs on the market and an ideal choice for space-constrained systems. The DA14533 SoC is also AEC-Q100 Grade 2 automotive-qualified with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, ensuring reliable performance in harsh automotive and industrial environments. - New Product – Mouser Now Stocking TDK InvenSense’s ICU-30201 Ultrasonic Time-of-Flight Range Sensor for Ultra-Long-Range Applications
Mouser is now offering the ICU-30201 ultrasonic time-of-flight (ToF) range sensor from TDK InvenSense. The ICU-30201 is a high-performance ToF sensor for ultra-long-range applications, measuring distances from 30 cm to 9.5 m with millimetre accuracy. This sensor delivers accurate measurements in any lighting condition, from full sunlight to complete darkness, and can detect optically transparent surfaces such as glass and clear plastics. The ICU-30201 supports multi-object detection with a customisable field-of-view (FOV) up to 180°. The sensor also features a 53 kHz piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducer (PMUT) — a second-generation ultra-low power System-on-Chip (SoC) — and a 40 MHz integrated CPU for on-chip algorithms including range finding, human presence, and wake-on approach. The ICU-30201 sensor offers a sample rate of 75 samples per second at two meters and 18 samples per second at nine meters. With ultra-low power consumption, the ICU-30201 helps extend battery life in devices including smart speakers, meeting room devices, and smart door locks. A single bottom port package for receiving and transmitting allows for easy mechanical integration. The ICU-30201 sensor comes in a compact LGA package and includes an integrated digital signal processor (DSP). The sensor is compatible with standard surface mount device (SMD) reflow and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The sensor enhances contextual awareness and reliability in diverse environments, including smart homes, robotics, and obstacle avoidance.
