Mouser is stocking the latest products from Schneider Electric, a multi-national leader in digital automation and energy management. Products include the Harmony XVSV editable voice alarms, which balance high performance with ease of use, providing editable sound through free software via SD card. Ideal applications include construction machines, elevators, advanced automated guided vehicles, and parking automatic payment machines. The Altivar ATS480 soft starters are designed to protect and extend the lifetime of connected devices. The product line features a voltage range of 208V to 690V and supports a range of applications, including water and wastewater, mining materials and metals, and energies and chemicals. The Altivar ATV212 variable speed drives offer reliable, energy-efficient performance for HVAC applications in buildings and support fans, pumps, and compressors, improving energy efficiency and simplifying building management. Mouser also stocks the Harmony XVB series light towers. Featuring flexible construction of up to five lens units, the Harmony XVB series light towers provide visual and audible signalling units to indicate the status of a machine at a distance and with 360° of visibility.   • Competition – Deadline Nearing to Enter 2024 Create the Future Design Contest

Time is running out to enter the Create the Future Design Contest, an exciting challenge for engineers and students worldwide to create the next great thing. Mouser, which has sponsored the contest for over ten years, has joined again with valued manufacturers Intel® and Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) as co-sponsors. The competition is produced by SAE Media Group, an SAE International Company, and Tech Briefs magazine. COMSOL is also a principal sponsor of the contest. The deadline to enter is 1st July. The grand prize winner receives worldwide recognition and a cash prize of $25,000 for an innovative product that benefits society and the economy. Previous contests have produced more than 15,000 design ideas from engineers, entrepreneurs and students in more than 100 countries. The Create the Future Design Contest brings attention to product designs that enhance humanity, improve healthcare quality or help provide sustainable solutions. Previous grand prize-winning entries include self-destroying plastics, a self-contained organ and limb transport device, and an economical, rapid screening device to prevent food-borne illness.   • New Product – Mouser Now Offering u-blox XPLR-HPG-1 Explorer Kit for Rapid Development of High Precision GNSS Applications

Mouser is now shipping the XPLR-HPG-1 Explorer kit from u-blox. This Explorer kit is comprised of a baseboard populated with a NORA-W106 module, which integrates a powerful dual-core 32-bit microcontroller with 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi® and dual-mode Bluetooth® LE 5 connectivity. The baseboard also features three mikroBUS™ connectors with pre-mounted click boards™ hosting u-blox positioning and cellular modules. The GNSS RTK 2 click board features the ZED-F9R module, a high-precision dead-reckoning. The LBAND RTK click board includes the NEO-D9S module, a satellite data receiver for the L-band correction broadcast. The 4G LTE 2 click board features the LARA-R6001D, a compact LTE Cat 1 multi-mode module offering global coverage, enabling the reception of PointPerfect correction data via mobile networks. Equipped with its GNSS and communication modules, this Explorer kit can access correction data from a satellite broadcast via L-band satellite GNSS receiver or IP connectivity using LTE or Wi-Fi. PointPerfect, the u-blox GNSS augmentation service, provides correction data delivered via the Thingstream IoT service delivery platform. The XPLR-HPG-1 also supports the Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol (NTRIP. The XPLR-HPG-1 kit’s modular design also enables users to switch out Mikroe click boards. The Explorer kit provides a flexible, modular development and prototyping platform for centimetre-level accuracy positioning applications, such as autonomous robotics, asset tracking and connected health.
