  • New Webcast – Mouser Promotes FPGA Vision Webcast for Intel and its Newly Independent Programmable Solutions Group

Mouser invites its customers to join the Intel® FPGA Vision Webcast hosted by Intel® Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) Chief Executive Officer Sandra Rivera and Chief Operator Officer Shannon Poulin. The free webcast, broadcast in English, will be available in various time zones with local language subtitles on 29 February, 1 March and 4 March 2024. Intel® has announced its intent to operate its Programmable Solutions Group (PSG), which handles the design and manufacture of Intel® FPGAs, as a standalone business. Mouser is a global authorised distributor for Intel® FPGAs and other products. The webcast will unveil new enablement tools and show demos on performance, power, and flexibility challenges for next-generation designs across many industries. The discussion will include how the latest AI challenges across industries are solved by Intel Agilex® FPGAs.   • New Product – Mouser Now Shipping SparkFun XBee Development Boards, Enabling Rapid Prototyping with Digi XBee 3 Modules for LTE IoT Applications

Mouser is now stocking the XBee® development boards from SparkFun. These development boards enable designers to quickly integrate cutting-edge LTE cellular into their devices and applications, eliminating the time-consuming and expensive FCC and carrier end-device certification process. The SparkFun XBee development boards are designed to help users quickly and easily prototype low-power cellular IoT applications using the new XBee 3 Global LTE-M/NB-IoT and XBee 3 Global LTE GNSS Cat 1 smart modems by Digi. These boards break out all the functionality of the XBee modules and provide the ability to connect to the cellular network and GNSS. The XBee development boards include Qwiic connectors for I2C-capable sensors and peripherals, allowing users to quickly develop connected sensor applications. Digi Remote Manager® allows users to easily configure and control devices from a central platform. Built-in Digi TrustFence® security, identity, and data privacy features use multiple layers of control to protect against new and evolving cyber threats. The SparkFun KIT-24441 Digi XBee kit is also available from Mouser and includes an XBee development board, the XBee 3 Global LTE-M/NB-IoT smart modem, a humidity sensor breakout board, an LTE wide band flex antenna, and a Hologram eUICC SIM card.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Stocking ROHM Semiconductor ML22120 Automotive-Grade Speech-Synthesis LSI IC

Mouser is now shipping the ML22120 automotive-grade speech synthesis LSI IC from ROHM Semiconductor. The ML22120 Speech Synthesis LSI IC is designed for vehicle approach alert systems in electric vehicles (EVs). The ML22120 is the industry’s first speech synthesis LSI designed specifically for AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) sounds for EVs. New AVAS regulations require warning sounds to alert pedestrians of EVs approaching, and this automotive-grade speech synthesis LSI hardware integrates a warning sound generator, a fader, and an equaliser for creating and adjusting playback sounds (like vehicle proximity alert sounds) while simplifying sound adjustment after installation in the vehicle. The Speech Synthesis LSI IC features a 16-bit D/A converter and low-pass filter, producing high-quality sound with a 5-band equaliser for sound-quality effect processing. It also includes a failure detection function designed to detect abnormalities in communication with the main microcontroller or external oscillator, enhancing vehicle safety and reliability. The ML22120 supports a maximum external serial flash memory of 128 Mbits, with a serial flash memory interface for sound data and the sound data playback function (sound generator). The ML22120 is supported by the RB-D22120TB32 reference board and the SDCK3 sound device control kit 3.
