  • New Certifications – Mouser Completes SOC2 Type2, ISO 27001 Stage 2, and Cyber Essentials Certifications, Reinforcing Its Commitment to Data Security

Mouser announces the successful completion of its System and Organization Controls 2 Type II (SOC 2 Type II), along with also receiving ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials certification. Following the highest data security standards, Mouser is dedicated to managing cyber security and minimising risks through its comprehensive Information Security Management System (ISMS). Registration to these gold standards reinforces to customers and manufacturers that Mouser is fully committed to protecting their information. SOC2, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials are a set of international standards that support the requirements for an ISMS. To be certified, Mouser had to meet all rigorous requirements featured in the standards. This includes developing and implementing an information security policy, establishing risk management processes, identifying risks, implementing controls to mitigate risks, and more measures. Mouser achieved these certifications through five independent assessments in 2023 and will undergo periodic reassessments to maintain these top certifications. Mouser’s customers can trust that it has the rigorous processes in place to protect the security, privacy and availability of its data, systems and products, which are 100% authorised from over 1,200 manufacturers of semiconductors and electronic components.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Stocking Qorvo Wi-Fi 7 Front End Modules for Mobile and Home Network Equipment

Mouser is now shipping the latest Wi-Fi® 7 front end modules (FEM) from Qorvo. As the newest Wi-Fi standard and working across three separate bands to fully utilise spectrum resources, Wi-fi 7 offers faster data speeds, lower latencies, and increased network capacity thanks to new capabilities designed to support large numbers of users and devices in bandwidth-intensive environments. The Qorvo QM42500 and QM45500 offer 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz to 7 GHz frequency ranges, respectively. These devices are optimised for a broad 3 V to 5 V operating range, making them ideal for mobile applications such as smartphones, tablets and wearables such as VR/AR goggles. The QPF4259 and QPF4559 are 2 GHz and 5 GHz modules well suited for wireless access points, wireless routers, set-top boxes and customer premise equipment. The performance of these devices is focused on optimising the integrated power amplifier for a 5 V supply voltage. This design conserves power consumption whilst maintaining the highest linear output power and leading-edge throughput. As Wi-Fi 7 devices, these FEMs offer compatibility with Matter™, a new connectivity standard for Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Furthermore, the QM42500EVB, QM45500EVB, QPF4259EVB01, and QPF4559EVB01 evaluation boards, available to order from Mouser, provide a demonstration and development platform for these Wi-Fi 7 modules.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Shipping Texas Instruments AWR294x FMCW Radar Sensor for Automotive Applications

Mouser is now stocking the AWR294x frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar sensor from Texas Instruments. The AWR294x is a single chip mmWave sensor and FMCW transceiver (76 GHz to 81 GHz band) with radar data processing elements and peripherals. It features both TI’s low-power 45 nm radio frequency complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (RFCMOS) and a user-programmable Arm® Cortex®-R5F processor. The AWR294x integrated phase-locked loop (PLL), mixer, voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), and baseband analogue to digital converter (ADC) with digital signal processing (DSP) subsystem (DSS) feature TI’s high-performance C66x DSP for radar signal processing. The AWR294x hardware accelerator block (HWA 2.0) streamlines common radar processing, saving processing power and resources for custom applications and higher-level algorithms. Simple programming model changes can enable reconfiguration for implementing a multimode sensor. A hardware security module (HSM) with a programmable Arm Cortex-M4 core provides a secure zone of operation. The AWR2944EVM radar sensor evaluation module is an easy-to-use platform for the demonstration and development of the AWR2944 radar sensor. This product is ideal for low-power, self-monitored, ultra-accurate radar systems in automotive in-vehicle networking applications.

  • Fundraising Goals Reached – Mouser, Analog Devices and One Tree Planted Reach Goal to Plant 150,000 Trees Across Europe and United States in Reforestation Projects

Mouser is pleased to announce that the fundraising goals have been met to donate to One Tree Planted for the purpose of planting 100,000 trees across Europe and 50,000 trees across the United States. In Europe, the trees are being planted across Denmark, Ireland, Portugal, Netherlands, Scotland, Germany, and Spain. In the United States, One Tree Planted will focus on urban planting and forest fire recovery projects in several states. Mouser’s valued manufacturer partner, Analog Devices, co-sponsored the program. The initiative, which began in February 2023, pledged that with the purchase of each Mouser order including at least one line of Analog Devices products, Mouser and Analog Devices would donate funds to One Tree Planted to plant trees across the two regions. The program began in Europe initially, and after much success, it was extended to the United States in July. One Tree Planted is an environmental nonprofit focused on global reforestation. As an official partner of the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, they have planted over 100 million trees in more than 80 countries across the globe since 2014. In 2022 alone, they planted over 52 million trees – more than doubling their 2021 impact. They work to re-establish woodland, improve water and soil quality, and restore habitat for biodiversity in areas that have been degraded or deforested.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Stocking Lumileds LUXEON NightsScape Technology LEDs, Reducing Blue Light Content for Lower Light Pollution

Mouser is now shipping LUXEON NightsScape Technology LEDs from Lumileds. By reducing blue light content between 400nm and 500nm to less than 2%, these LEDs meet new outdoor lighting standards, support dark-sky initiatives and help cut down on harmful light pollution. They reduce the negative impact of night-time illumination on plants, wildlife and the human circadian rhythm. The reduced blue light content also decreases glare, increasing visual acuity for motorists and pedestrians alike. The 3030 HE/HE Plus LEDs are suitable for panel lights, downlights, wall lights and horticulture, while the 5050 high-power LEDs can be used in streetlights, flood lights, and wall packs, among others. Packages are industry-standard and functional colour rendering creates a warm, welcoming light ideal for outdoor illumination. These efficient LEDs provide around 185lm/W and have a lumen maintenance value similar to standard white LEDs.

  • New Product – Mouser Shipping Latest High-Frequency Radio Identification Solutions from Molex

Mouser is stocking the latest Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) High-Frequency (HF) Solutions from Molex. These RFID solutions provide versatile, robust, and compact asset tracking and identification capabilities. These RFID solutions feature different frequencies (13.56 MHz to 960 MHz) and designs, including global UHF variants, to enable cost-effective, efficient, and accurate monitoring of inventory and assets. This RFID portfolio also offers RFID labels, hard tags, ferrite tags, cable tie tags, moulded PCB RFID tags, flexible tags, and tags for metal and non-metal surfaces. These passive RFID tags are powered using the electromagnetic energy transmitted from an RFID reader. When a passive RFID tag is scanned by a reader, the reader transmits energy to the tag which powers it enough for the chip and antenna to relay information back to the reader. These products all operate in harsh conditions from -40°C to +85°C temperature ranges and include IP65 and IP68 protection ratings, making them ideal for use in harsh environments. Alongside this, they are ideal for healthcare, industrial, and automotive applications and environments.
