  • New Product – Mouser Now Stocking the R9A02G021 – Renesas’ First 32-bit Low-Power Microcontroller with In-House RISC-V CPU Core

Mouser is now stocking the R9A02G021 low-power microcontrollers (MCUs) from Renesas Electronics. Empowering engineers with a multipurpose platform for creating power-efficient, cost-effective applications using an open-source instruction set architecture (ISA), the R9A02G021 is Renesas’ first general-purpose, 32-bit MCU family built around its innovative in-house RISC-V processor core designed to serve multiple end markets, such as IoT sensors, consumer electronics, medical devices, small appliances and industrial systems. With the R9A02G021, Renesas provides designers with a clear and reliable IP migration path to developing a wide range of high-performance, cost-sensitive applications that can go to mass market quickly while eliminating any concerns about proprietary architectures. The R9A02G021 MCUs are ultra-low-power MCUs featuring a single 32-bit processor core running at up to 48MHz and delivering a claimed 3.27 CoreMark per megahertz. Explicitly designed for low-power applications, the R9A02G021 family of MCUs draws a mere 162µA/MHz in active mode and 0.3µA in software standby with a 4µS wakeup time. The wide 1.6V to 5.5V input voltage range also enables low-voltage, low-current operation and allows noise immunity, making the devices perfect for battery-powered applications. Other notable features of these MCUs include a 12-bit ADC, an 8-bit DAC, on-chip comparators, a temperature sensor, power management features, multiple clock and timer sources and safety features. The R9A02G021 MCUs are supported by the fast prototyping board RTK9FPG021S00001BJ, designed for evaluation, prototyping, and development.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Shipping Siemens’ LOGO!Power Miniature Power Supplies, Providing Energy Efficiency in Small Spaces

Mouser is now stocking the LOGO!Power miniature power supplies from Siemens. With a flat, stepped profile design and energy-saving features, the LOGO!Power miniature power supplies deliver high performance in small distribution boards and other space-limited environments. The LOGO!Power power supplies provide up to 90% efficiency in 5V, 12V, 15V, and 24V applications. These devices operate across all standard 1-phase supply networks with an input range of 100VAC to 240VAC without switchover, as well as DC networks from 110VDC to 300VDC. Low performance loss during idle times increases efficiency, while current monitoring contributes to operational reliability. The power supplies reliably connect loads with high inrush currents, such as DC/DC converters and motors, due to an integrated power boost function and constant current during overloads. The LOGO!Power power supplies are highly adaptable, including flexible mounting options and an operating temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. The power supplies meet the energy requirements of building technology and industrial automation applications such as light and heating controllers, packaging machines, sorting systems, and conveyor belts.
