  • Exhibition – Mouser Inspires Innovation For All at Maker Faire Rome 2023

Mouser will be exhibiting at Maker Faire Rome – the European Edition 2023 in Fiera di Roma, Rome, Italy on 20-22 October 2023. The annual event allows makers and hobbyists to connect with companies, universities, schools and research centres to share innovative technology ideas. The 11th edition of Maker Faire Rome is one of the largest events of its kind in Europe and covers all the current trends in innovation. The exhibition also features the latest discoveries of the metaverse and augmented reality. Helpful members of the Mouser customer service team will be on hand to guide visitors through Mouser’s services and tools and share technical resources that can help them get projects started. There are also a number of fun activities which visitors can participate in to get inspired by new technological trends and hone their practical skills.   • Now Shipping – u-blox MIA-M10 GNSS SiP Modules for Asset Tracking Applications Available from Mouser

Mouser now stocks the MIA-M10 GNSS System-in-Package (SiP) modules from u-blox. The ultra-low-power MIA-M10 modules deliver an ultimate game changer for miniature, battery-powered asset trackers for vehicles, smartwatches, personal navigation devices, pet tracking, industrial automation, and more. The u-blox MIA-M10 supports concurrent reception of four GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou). The ultra-small, highly integrated system-in-package requires no external components, delivers 400% battery life, and requires only 20 mm of board space and is available in two variants. The MIA-M10Q targets a growing market of highly size-constrained battery-powered tracking devices. Its small size, low power demand, and performance make it a natural fit for wearable devices used to keep an eye on the whereabouts and well-being of children, pets and livestock, as well as for highly dynamic applications like small drones, cameras, bike computers, and battery-powered sensors. The second product variant, the MIA-M10C, targets customers requiring more flexibility to combine the module with an active or custom antenna circuit. The u-blox EVK-M101 evaluation kit is used to evaluate u-blox M10 positioning technology.

The SoC processors also provide an ideal solution for machine vision, industrial transport, retail automation, and security and surveillance applications. The TI TDA4VE-Q1/TDA4AL-Q1/TDA4VL-Q1 SoC Processors are based on the evolutionary Jacinto™ 7 architecture, targeted at Smart Vision Camera applications. These devices feature two C7x floating point vector DSPs, up to six Arm® Cortex®-R5F microcontrollers, and a dual 64-bit Arm Cortex-A72 microprocessor subsystem, boast industry-leading power-to-performance ratios, ensuring scalability and affordable costs while also including protection by automotive-grade safety and security hardware accelerators.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Shipping Qorvo PAC22140 Single-Chip Intelligent Battery Management Solution, Single-Chip Solution for up to 20s Battery Packs

Mouser is now stocking the PAC22140 smart battery management solution (BMS) from Qorvo. Designed to meet the need for higher cell counts in designs for users requiring more extended battery life, faster-charging power and higher performance, Qorvo has expanded its current BMS portfolio with its first single-chip Power Application Controller® (PAC) device, the PAC22140. The device supports battery packs with up to 20 cells in series (20s), leveraging Qorvo’s hardware and firmware ecosystem, which can save designers more than 50 percent of their PCB space while lowering total BOM cost by 30 percent and reducing time to market. This device provides a low power hibernate mode of less than 3 µA, which delivers a long storage time with wakeup from a push button, timer or charger detection. The PAC22140 is offered in a compact 9 mm x 9 mm, 60-pin QFN package, ideal for space-constrained designs. Target applications include garden tools, power tools, E-transportation, broad industrial battery management solutions and other compact battery-monitoring uses.
