  • New Distribution Agreement – Mouser Announces Global Distribution Agreement with Microtherm Sentronic to Deliver Thermal Control Sensor Switches

Mouser announces a new global distribution agreement with Microtherm Sentronic, a leading supplier of sensor control technology. Microtherm Sentronic manufactures temperature measurement solutions and overheating protection switches for industrial and household applications including motors, transformers, damper controls, power electronics, sensors engineering, and more. Mouser now stocks the latest lineup from Microtherm Sentronic, including the T Series enclosed bimetal snap-action temperature switches, the F Series enclosed bimetal snap-action temperature switches and the B Series enclosed bimetal snap-action temperature switches. The T Series incorporates a two-contact system where temperature and current influence switching, providing thermal protection and temperature-limiting control with high power ratings and no vibrational influence. The F Series offers a central contact for very fast response time and are ideal for installation into motor windings, as they are very small, pressure-stable and resistant to impregnating resins and lacquers. The B Series features a thermo-bimetallic snap-disc with a double contact mechanism and function as thermal motor protectors (single phase) and temperature limiters with current ratings of 5 A up to 13 A, offering up to 10,000 switching cycles with versatile design options.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Shipping NXP Semiconductors’ High-Performance S32G3 Vehicle Network Processors

Mouser is now stocking the S32G3 vehicle network processors from NXP Semiconductors. The high-performance processors combine controller area network (CAN), local interconnect network (LIN), and FlexRay networking with high data rate Ethernet networking, supporting the needs of complex vehicle architectures involving service-oriented gateways, vehicle computers, domain controllers, safety processors, and zonal processors. These devices support a range of automotive applications, including Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA), zonal gateways, safety processors, automotive access points, and vehicle compute. The processors feature up to eight Arm® Cortex®-A53 cores with Arm Neon™ technology organised in two clusters of four cores, as well as up to four Arm Cortex-M7 dual-core lockstep complexes for real-time applications. The devices operate within a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, are AEC-Q100 qualified and feature a low latency communication engine (LLCE) for automotive network acceleration and a packet forwarding engine (PFE) for Ethernet network acceleration. These processors feature 16 isolation domains with eXtended Resource Domain Control (XRDC), as well as advanced functional safety hardware and software for ASIL D systems. These devices are supported by the S32G-VNP-EVB3 S32G vehicle network processing evaluation board 3.

  • New eBook – Mouser and Renesas Electronics Explore Industrial IoT Design Opportunities with TinyML in New eBook

Mouser has released a new eBook in collaboration with Renesas Electronics, exploring the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to drive innovation in Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) applications. In Bringing Intelligence to the Edge: Designing Industrial IoT Applications with TinyML, six thought leaders from Mouser and Renesas offer detailed insights on how machine learning can be used to improve the design of industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions. The eBook features eight articles covering topics including AI in IoT endpoints, vision AI processing, and endpoint AI in embedded vision applications. For IIoT applications, the introduction of AI and ML will lead to new use cases and fundamentally change the way in which engineers design new solutions. The application of AI and ML is particularly promising for highly constrained environments, which is now known as TinyML. The eBook includes quick links to a range of Renesas Electronics products, focusing on microcontrollers (MCUs) and microprocessors (MPUs). These include the RZ/V2L high-precision entry-level AI MPUs, the RA4E1 MCU group, which is targeted for connectivity and security, the RA6M3 MCU group, which is designed for low power and efficiency, and the RA4M3 MCU group, which provides a balance of performance and cost-effectiveness.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Shipping the Murata Type2BP Ultra-Wide Band Module for Wireless IoT Applications

Mouser is now shipping the Type2BP ultra-wideband (UWB) module from Murata. The Type2BP UWB module is ideal for the wireless enablement of larger infrastructures including access control, indoor positioning anchors and payment terminals, as well as consumer products, such as televisions and gaming consoles. This UWB module is ideal for the growing ecosystem of spatial context awareness in IoT devices while simplifying wireless development by minimising the amount of RF expertise needed to wirelessly enable a wide range of applications. The Type2BP module is one of the smallest (6.6 mm × 5.8 mm × 1.2 mm) UWB module available on the market and is based on NXP Semiconductors’ SR150 UWB chipset, clock, filters and peripheral components. It features low current consumption and includes channels 5 and 9 support with enhanced and secure ranging along with various antenna support configurations (3D angle of arrival (AOA) or 2D AOA). The Type2BP UWB module also features integrated physical layer (PHY) and medium access controller (MAC) functions designed to meet FiRa™ specifications, to ensure interoperability with a growing set of UWB devices. This UWB module is supported by the UWB-Module-EVK evaluation kit.
