New eBook from Mouser and YAGEO Explores How New Passive Solutions are Powering Automotive Electrification
Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorised global distributor with the newest electronic components and industrial automation products, today announces a new eBook in collaboration with YAGEO Group. In Powering the New Automotive Era with Smart Passive Solutions, industry experts explore how passive electronic components are evolving to meet the demands of increasingly electrified automotive systems.
Electrification is transforming how vehicles are built, powered, and experienced. Designers are replacing mechanical subsystems with electric equivalents, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are increasingly widespread. To meet the demands of electrification, passive components need to support higher temperatures, faster switching frequencies, and increased voltages while also ensuring power efficiency. Powering the New Automotive Era with Smart Passive Solutions explores 48V architectures, wide bandgap, electrified powertrains, and how YAGEO Group is meeting the moment with innovative passive technologies.
Featured below are some of the YAGEO Group products available from Mouser:
The PMT9085 Series AEC-Q200 high-isolation power transformers deliver up to 2W of power across a high-withstand-voltage insulation barrier. The compact, automotive-grade isolation transformers feature a core and bobbin assembly to provide reinforced insulation with a 6.4mm creepage distance. The PMT9085 transformers are compatible with a range of push-pull drivers, providing a cost-effective way to deliver isolation power from a low-voltage source. The transformers support a range of applications, including electric vehicle (EV) charging, high-voltage inverters, and DC motors.
The AEC-Q200 current sense transformers offer a low-loss method for sensing AC current in a circuit. The transformers provide electrical and safety isolation between the current source, which can be connected to high voltage signals, and the measurement circuit. the aec-q200 current sense transformers feature a sensing range from 4A to 40A, isolation voltages from 500V to 5kV, and functional, basic, and reinforced insulation systems. The transformers are ideal for switch-mode power applications.
The SMP25x EMI suppression AEC-Q200 capacitors feature a multilayer, metallised paper construction encapsulated and impregnated in UL 94V-0 self-extinguishing material. The capacitors provide a 310VAC-rated voltage and a 630VDC recommended DC voltage rating, offering high-performance stability against corrosion and electrochemical degradation. The AEC-Q200 capacitors are ideal for EMI and AC line filtering, switching power supplies, EV charging systems, and isolators.
The APL9x rectangular aluminium polymer capacitors are designed for 48V automotive applications, including as a DC link on 48V inverters for mild hybrid electric vehicles (MHEVs). These capacitors provide excellent surge voltage and ripple current capacity as well as robust vibration resistance. The capacitors have a rectangular shape that allows for modular stacking and are suitable for compact applications and those requiring low profiles.
