DTU is organizing the 14th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation, EuCAP 2020, in Copenhagen, Denmark, 15-20 March 2020.
EuCAP is Europe’s largest and most significant antennas and propagation conference attracting academic and industrial participants at all career stages from all over the world. It is a great forum for exchange of new technical-scientific achievements, for demonstrating state-of-the-art technology, and for establishing and strengthening professional networks.
Year 2020 marks the beginning of a new promising decade for wireless technology with great challenges and possibilities for both application-driven and curiosity-driven research and development. 5G telecommunication will roll out to impact people and society substantially – as will many other emerging electromagnetic technologies – and new understanding of wave-matter interaction at nanoscale will develop to form the basis for future electromagnetic technologies.
Year 2020 also marks the 200 years anniversary for Danish physicist Hans Christian Ørsted’s discovery in 1820 that electricity and magnetism are not separate but connected phenomena – and thus the discovery of the electromagnetism that is the scientific foundation of all antenna and propagation technology. The 200 years anniversary of electromagnetism will be duly celebrated at EuCAP 2020.
